Since the two little cousins would not be over at my house for this week, it was only me and Mak in the house, by mid-morning that is. Both the siblings had school (despite now being the school holidays). So, just an hour before noon, I followed Mak to the neighbourhood market. Just the two of us, it was quite alright I have to say. I’m proud to say that even though I’m already slowly growing out of my teen years, I still do have a strong bond with Mak. Sure there have been certain bumps along the way-you can’t avoid that-but things have been pretty okay. On the way to the market, we talked about various issues. I’m grateful that I’m able to talk to Mak about most issues and that she’s quite open-minded.
Accompanying her to the market today made me realise what she has go through everyday. She has got to make her way through the crowd, carry the heavy bags of groceries etc. Hence, I tried to keep the trip as light-literally-as possible for her. I helped her carry the plastic bags even though she insisted on carrying them. I don’t know…somehow, it wasn’t that bad. She even proposed that we sit down for a while so that I could get some shots of the neighbourhood. We sat down somewhere nearby the blocks near to Temasek Polytechnic.

On the way back home, we talked about marriage. Nah, I’m not getting married anytime soon. Haha…the topic just came up, whatnot with all thats been happening. You know, I like it when days get off to a good start.
