I’m back! Personally, even though I enjoy basking in a different atmosphere, I’ve never been glad to step foot home. 5 days and 4 nights gone from Singapore, made me a little homesick, or maybe, a bit lovesick…Lots of photos that need to be uploaded but I am just too shagged to do all of it at one go. So, I decided to break up the whole story-telling about the trip into parts.
The itinerary for the whole trip was first half at Perak, and then the second half at Kuala Lumpur. We went off by car early Thursday morning(14 June)at 6am right after solat Subuh. Mind you, my eyes were still half-closed and I’m guessing that I slept the moment I got into the car. The journey took us quite a while and it was plain boring to be sitting so long in the car. If it hadn’t been for my brother’s PSP, I think I would have spent the whole trip stuffing my face with food throughout.

We reached Bukit Merah Laketown Resort around 5pm, and by that time, we all were just glad that we had finally finally reached our destination. Since, we were there on a Thursday, the place was quite quiet for a resort.

Checked in, and we were off to check out our hotel room!

The hotel was comfortable and suitable for a family of four to five people. I have to say that I’m disappointed by the availability of television channels though. There was only Malaysian channels such as TV1, TV2 and Vision Four. Not much to keep me entertained except for the movie Chasing Liberty on the first night.

Since we reached the resort during evening time and it was a weekday, most of the shops and the rides there were already closed. We settled for some games at the arcade but even that didn’t last long. In the end, we made the decision to go for dinner at the Kafe Le Lac Restaurant.

The food was great! Despite us being the only family eating there in the big restaurant. It was already late night and by the time we finished eating dinner, we had stuffed ourselves full.

The rest of the night was spent in the hotel room, trying to free ourselves from the jet-lag that we were experiencing from the long trip in the car. For a first day, it was quite fine I must say. I was beginning to enjoy myself:)
