From Kuala Lumpur, With Love: Part I

So, on Saturday after we checked out of Bukit Merah Laketown Resort in Perak, we made our way to Kuala Lumpur for the second half of our Malaysia trip. I was feeling a tinge bit jumpy since I was already prepared to do some shopping there and to finally be in an urban city once more. When we arrived at Kuala Lumpur, I got a bit disappointed because the outer appearances sure did not depict an urban city. But that’s okay cause the hotel that we stayed in was uber classy and comfortable. Swiss Garden Hotel.

After having sips of our complementary drinks, we went into our hotel to put down our stuffs before heading out again in search of a money changer.

The hotel was off the hook yo! The television channels was so much more better as they even had Disney Channel and Star Movies alongside the other Malaysian channels. Now that is what I call good accomodation.

We vamoosed our way through the heavy traffic and the crowds of people to Sungei Wang shopping complex. To make things more hectic, it started to rain halfway there and we had no umbrellas with us. We still managed to get into Sungei Wang dry but went we went back to the hotel after that, we were quite drenched from the rain.

Since it was raining and we were already quite wet, we just decided to stay indoors in our hotel room, accompanied by the cold blasting air-con while gobbling down Auntie Anne’s pretzels. Sedap you…

At night, despite the rain and the puddles or water, we still set off to Petaling Street. Nobody got anything at Petaling Street cause I guess nothing fancy caught our eyes. Most of the time, we were just looking through and trying to shove our way through the crowd.

Personally, I’m not so pleased with these night shots at Petaling Street. I had to use high ISO cause obviously I wouldn’t want to use flash instead amongst the crowds of people at night. Using flash would just attract more attention to me and it was already enough that people we staring at me. As mentioned, we were mostly trying to make our way through the crowd so most of the time, I had to just snap away as I didn’t want to be left behind. Oh wells.
